Common questions
- How do I log a visit?
- Find the museum from the Discover tab — search by name or city, or browse what is near you — open it, and tap Record Visit. You can set the date to any day in the past and add a private note.
- Can I add visits from before I had the app?
- Yes. The date picker on the Record Visit sheet reaches back decades, so you can enter a lifetime of museum-going.
- A museum I visited is not listed.
- The catalogue comes from Wikidata and does not yet cover everything. Email the museum's name and city and it can be added.
- Why does the app ask for my location?
- Only to show which museums are near you. It is optional — search works without it — and Musento never tracks your location in the background.
- Who can see my visits?
- You, and friends whose requests you have accepted. Notes you attach to a visit are private to you and are never shown to anyone.
- How do I delete my account?
- Settings → Delete Account. This removes your profile, visits, notes, friendships and achievements immediately, and cannot be undone.
